A choral celebration of Christmas in the historic Greyfriars
Kirk. Under the baton of Musical Director Alistair
Digges, and accompanied by organist Henry
Wallace and trumpeter Simon Bird, the
evening featured choral Christmas favourites including Darke's
In the Bleak Midwinter, Poston's Jesus Christ the
Apple Tree and Howells' A Spotless Rose; works by
contemporary composers Ēriks Ešenvalds, James MacMillan, Chris
Hutchings and Tom Cunningham, as well as some traditional carols
for all to join in.
